Velvet yarn Samet Soft fine made of 100% extra soft polyester with a weight of 100 g and a spool of 100 m is a thinner version of the popular classic yarn Samet Soft. This shaggy chenille yarn will charm you at first touch. It is exceptionally soft to the skin, does not scratch and creates a beautiful plush effect. Although you can knit with it, its main superpower lies in crocheting.
As it is a thinner version, Samet Soft fine is absolutely ideal for amigurumi, more detailed crocheted figures and smaller plush toys that need more precise shapes. But you can also create wonderfully warm, yet lightweight children's blankets, sleepers, supple neck warmers, scarves, warm sweaters or soft winter hats.
Our tip for a perfect result: For regular crocheting, we recommend a size 5 hook. However, if you are crocheting toys and amigurumi figures, use a hook one size smaller (size 4 to 4.5 mm). The resulting stitch will be stronger, the knit will be denser, and the polyester filling will not peek out of the toy.
